Why Using the Wrong Pre-Sealer Can Stop Your Stone Glue from Working

Pre-sealing natural stone is an important step in protecting it from stains, salt, and moisture damage—but not all pre-sealers are created equal.

In fact, using the wrong pre-sealer can completely compromise your installation, preventing the glue (adhesive) from bonding properly and leading to expensive failures down the track.

1. What a Pre-Sealer Does

A pre-sealer is applied before installation to:

Provide a temporary layer of protection before the final sealing stage.
